🛬 First Stop: Kolkata Nights & Hungry Stomachs
Nothing says “welcome to a trip” like landing at night with an empty stomach. My travel partner, Imran Beg, and I wandered through Kolkata’s dim streets until we found a restaurant for dinner. That first meal felt like fuel for the adventure ahead.

✈️ Bangkok Arrival: SIM Cards & First Impressions
From Kolkata, we boarded our flight to Bangkok. First mission on arrival? Get a SIM card. What we got was a “tourist special” with just 20MB of data — gone in the blink of an eye!

🚖 Tuk-Tuk Rides & Chinatown Adventures
The best way to feel Bangkok is by hopping into a tuk-tuk. Noisy, shaky, and fun — exactly what a traveler craves. We headed straight to Chinatown, with its neon signs, street food stalls, and endless chaos.

Among the glowing streets, we even found an Indian restaurant — oddly comforting to taste familiar food so far from home.

💡 A Special Stop: Ameenah
Walking through the city, a shop name stopped me in my tracks — Ameenah, the same name as my wife. Naturally, I had to take a picture. It felt like Bangkok had left me a little personal sign.

👬 Travel Partners: Two Different Journeys in One
Travel is about who you go with. Imran Beg wasn’t just a co-traveler; he was the strategist, sharp and money-minded, while I was the explorer — hungry for new places, cultures, and stories. Together, we made the perfect contrast.

🌏 Next Stop: Guangzhou
From Bangkok, the real adventure began as we landed in Guangzhou — the trading hub of China.

🕌 Faith in Guangzhou
We visited a mosque in Guangzhou, its domes and minarets standing gracefully amid the city bustle. It was a peaceful reminder of faith in the middle of commerce.

🛍️ Onelink International Trade Center – Wholesale Wonderland
One of our key stops was the Onelink International Trade Center, near Yide Lu. This nine-floor mega market is a treasure chest for traders: toys, houseware, fashion accessories, and return gifts stacked in endless aisles.

The atmosphere was electric — vendors shouting, buyers haggling, catalogs changing hands. From Spiderman keychains to cartoon mugs, every corner held a surprise.
🚄 Bullet Train to Yiwu
Next leg: a bullet train journey — 1,400 km from Guangzhou to Yiwu in just about 6 hours. Smooth, fast, and unforgettable.

🏬 Yiwu Futian Market – The World’s Largest Small Commodities Hub
Yiwu greeted us with Futian Market, the largest wholesale hub of small commodities in the world. Imagine walking 15,000–20,000 steps daily, across hall after hall of shops selling everything: bags, packaging, toys, beauty items, and more.

Buyers from the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Europe crossed paths here, proving why Yiwu is called the heart of global small trade.
🍽️ Evenings in Yiwu: Sultan Restaurant (Mado)
After long market days, we treated ourselves to dinner at Sultan Restaurant (Mado), one of the best Turkish restaurants in Yiwu. Authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and a touch of home in a foreign land.

🕌 Yiwu Mosque Visit
We also visited Yiwu’s mosque, with its white domes standing tall — a quiet place for reflection amid our hectic schedule.

🛍️ The Big Decision: Finalizing Products
After weeks of browsing and shortlisting, it was finally time to place orders. Order contracts were signed, suppliers confirmed, and products chosen for India.

Each deal felt like a milestone — proof of the hard work we had put in across markets.
🌃 Shanghai Nights at The Bund
On our way back, we stopped in Shanghai. A night at The Bund was magical — skyscrapers glowing, boats shimmering on the river, the city alive with lights.

✈️ Back Through Bangkok
From Shanghai, we flew to Bangkok once again. Before leaving, we indulged in a traditional Thai leg massage — a must after weeks of walking through endless markets.

🏠 Homecoming via Kolkata
Finally, we flew back to Kolkata, completing the loop. Traveling via Thailand was not only cheaper but added its own joy — a mix of culture, relaxation, and adventure.

✨ Final Thoughts
This trip wasn’t just about trade. It was about experiences, cultures, flavors, and stories. From Kolkata’s dim alleys to Bangkok’s neon nights, from Guangzhou’s wholesale chaos to Yiwu’s mega market, and finally the glittering lights of Shanghai, every stop added a unique memory.
It was more than a business trip — it was a journey of discovery.
